Sip and Create Evening

Join us for a joyfully relaxed evening of creativity, cake and a splash of sparkle.

Begin with a welcome cocktail or mocktail on arrival, then settle in for a guided air-dry clay workshop where you’ll create your very own mushroom candle holder – quirky, cosy and completely unique to you.

As you craft, enjoy a tempting selection of homemade cakes, with our bar open throughout the evening for anyone who fancies an extra tipple.

Expect plenty of laughs, light-hearted creativity and a wonderfully feel-good atmosphere. No pressure. No perfection. Just playful making, sweet treats and good company.

Come solo, bring a friend, or gather your favourite people – and leave feeling uplifted, inspired, and proudly clutching your handmade mushroom masterpiece.

About the event

Estimated Timings

• 7pm: Arrival and welcome cocktail or mocktail

• 7:15pm: Crafting session 1 - creating the framework and clay conditioning

• 7:45pm: Cake break

• 8pm: Crafting session 2 - making your magic (clay) mushrooms

• The bar is available for your own purchases throughout the event and will remain open for private use until 10:30pm

What's included?

• Up to a 3 hour guided workshop.

• All craft materials, tools and an apron.

• Expert step-by-step guidance.

• A cocktail or mocktail upon arrival.

• Cakes, cakes and more cakes!

• A leaflet with instructions and materials needed to paint and seal your creation once it is dry.

• Take home your gorgeous creation which was inspired by nature; crafted by you.

Wadsworth Community Centre is located in Hebden Bridge Old Town.

The nearest train station is Hebden Bridge and there are several buses directly to the venue from Hebden Bridge.

For those able to do so it is an approximately 40 minute walk from the train station.

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with step free access throughout.

There is limited off street parking, but plenty of on street parking outside the venue.

How do I book?

Spaces are limited and are on a first come first served basis. All our events are for adults only.

Simply click on the relevant 'Book Now' button below and send us an email to enquire about available space(s). If space is available, then we will send you details of how to pay.

To secure your booking you must pay in full.

If the spaces are already filled, you have the option of joining our "last minute" waiting list and then if a space becomes available we will contact you. We may also find that we have enough people on the waiting list to create a new event. If that is the case, then we will contact you for your availability.
